Wound Care Tips:
  • The best way to clean a wound is with running Water and a soap. Rinse the Wound for about 5 Minutes and clean all the dirt and Bacteria from it.
  • Avoid using Hydrogen Peroxide or Alcohol for cleaning injury. These chemicals may harm the tissues and can delay the healing process.
  • Try to keep the wounds moist because it helps in faster healing and can prevent the sticking of bandage.
  • Butter or Ice are not good for burns. For minor burns, keep the wound under running Water until the pain vanishes.
  • Cover the skin with a non stick bandage. Wrap it slowly so that it may not stick to the burnt area of Skin.
  • To avoid the pulling of Hair around wound, remove the bandage slowly and in the direction of Hairs, it will reduce the pain in removing the bandage.

    The Earth is Sick

The Earth is sick. Like every other American, I’m disgusted and saddened by the Oil Spill crisis in the Gulf. Viewing satellite images from space of the spill, it is nothing short in resemblance to that of a cancer, ever growing on the face of our great planet and home.

As of today, June 2nd, Florida has announced that they expect to see the Oil arriving on it’s western panhandle within the next 2 days. The awful part is that that is only the first wave of Oil arriving to that shore, there are still millions of gallons floating out there still making its way to land waiting to bring devastating impacts to our eco-systems and economy, and truly test our strength as a nation in our ability to come together and attempt to resolve this situation with the least minimal damages possible. Politics on this issue aside, everyone agrees that this has gone on far too long, and it is enraging that until recently this hasn’t been treated as the huge national crisis that this truly is. Until this is resolved, I urge everyone to take a look, at least once a day at the live leak footage directly from BP here: http://www.cnn.com/video/flashLive/live.html?stream=stream2 Hearing about this crisis, and actually viewing it from the source really makes an impact on a person that otherwise may not realize how serious this actually is. In my opinion, that may explain BP’s reluctance to make this 24 hour live footage public.

BP's handling of the disaster has been sharply criticized by members of Congress, officials in the Gulf states and the Obama administration, and justifiably so. The Obama administration announced yesterday that a criminal investigation was under way. It was also announced that Federal officials will no longer hold joint news briefings with the company, the administration said. Personally, I believe that the way BP has handled this situation, with blatant misleading information, not being open with the public, and taking far too long to address this as a serious matter, is indeed Criminal. However, the Government could put all of BP’s CEO’s behind bars for the next 100 years, that still won’t get us anywhere. It is unfortunate that the mistakes and carelessness of one corporation affect every single one of us. That is the ugly truth.

The blame, and intense cost of these clean-up efforts can and will fall on BP, however in order to prevent the most minimal impact to Earth, this is going to take nothing less than Human ingenuity and tireless effort. This disaster is far too large for this one Corporation to tackle themselves. We need dedicated environmentalists, wild life experts, Veterinarians and Americans with the personal willingness to be working in the marshlands, beaches and Ocean areas that have and soon will be affected by this. In short, this will require nothing less than a National effort.

My friends, if you’ve read any of my previous blogs here at Health Products For You, you may be aware that I strongly advocate a happy and healthy lifestyle for every single person, regardless of who you are, what ailments or disabilities you may have. A happy and healthy lifestyle is there in the grasp available for whomever wishes it for themselves. A crisis like this is akin to a giant wrench being thrown into the gears of that lifestyle dream. I urge you all to listen to the news once in awhile, and write to your senators and whichever political figures you see fit to discuss this with. That is YOUR voice and YOUR right as an American citizen to do so. Don’t let the dream of a happy and healthy lifestyle be destroyed while we sit back and watch. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your call to duty!

I read blogs often as it keeps me connected to popular opinion.

As an avid reader, I can honestly say I have never been so impressed as by this expression of shear intelligence for a current affair. This revelation of our coastal demise is truly gripping and informative. The far reaching concern to our country's overall well being is palpable. To mirror the worst environmental catastrophe in our nation's history, to each of our own states of wellness, is clarifying on a personal level to all of us. It has created a sense of urgency each one of us must adhere to in so much as it is as vital as our own life.

Nothing could have been stated in a more profound and lasting sentiment.

I am with Bobby. This article eloquently and concisely stated an important point: that the environment is like our mother, and we don't want our mother to be put in the nursing home with cancer. Because that's what this oil is, a cancer on our beautiful mother earth.
