Wound Care Tips:
  • The best way to clean a wound is with running Water and a soap. Rinse the Wound for about 5 Minutes and clean all the dirt and Bacteria from it.
  • Avoid using Hydrogen Peroxide or Alcohol for cleaning injury. These chemicals may harm the tissues and can delay the healing process.
  • Try to keep the wounds moist because it helps in faster healing and can prevent the sticking of bandage.
  • Butter or Ice are not good for burns. For minor burns, keep the wound under running Water until the pain vanishes.
  • Cover the skin with a non stick bandage. Wrap it slowly so that it may not stick to the burnt area of Skin.
  • To avoid the pulling of Hair around wound, remove the bandage slowly and in the direction of Hairs, it will reduce the pain in removing the bandage.

    Soak up the Sun!

I’m someone that absolutely hates waking up in the morning. No matter how much sleep I got the night before, it’s always a battle to drag my behind out of my bed. Then like many other Americans, I start that groggy journey to the Coffee maker, slumping however many spoonfuls of grounds I see fit at that point in time. Sure, the Coffee is a great way to wake you up and get you going, but what additional options are there? One of the greatest jump-starters is, and has always been right above your head!

You may have guessed it, I’m talking about sunlight! I’ve started doing this for myself on a whim to attempt to get myself more energized before coming to work and school in the mornings. I’ve forced myself to getup a half hour earlier and take a walk with my dogs for at least 20 minutes, getting the good old blood flowing, and soaking up some of that Vitamin D. Doing this has ALWAYS put me in a much better mood, and given me far more energy to take on my day. Not only is this an enjoyable way to start the day in my opinion, but the difference in my mood truly makes all of the difference in getting through the daily grind.

As someone who usually spends quite a bit of time in-doors, I decided to dig a little deeper into this. I’ve found that Doctors have started recognizing the importance of sunlight for a healthy lifestyle. Recent studies reveal that sunlight renders many health benefits, and apart from Sunlight maintaining temperature and humidity, it also plays a significant role in nourishing and energizing the human body. Sunlight is also vital in order to get the full nutritional value from food that you consume and it has been proven that getting sufficient sunlight aids in preventing chronic ailments such as Seasonal Affective Disorder, Osteoporosis, mental depression, type 2 Diabetes, and cancers affecting the bladder, breasts, cervix, colon, ovaries, prostrate, and the stomach. To put it more simply, sunlight is the perfect medicine in promoting a happy and healthy lifestyle!

There you have it folks, get out there, make me proud, and go soak up some of them rays! We have about 5 Billion years until the Sun slowly cools, then reheats and turns into a Red Giant – at which point the Earth will be vaporized! The clocks ticking!

Of course, some people won’t have the ability or the time to take a walk every morning. Maybe you’re holed up in your office for almost all of the day-light. Fret not, we have a solution! Head on over to our Light Therapy section of our webpage, and take a look at all of the vast options for light therapy lamps! Make sure you’re still getting your daily dose of the Sun!

Excellent as always but this article truly hits home. I am a sufferer of Season Affective Disorder, like many New England dwellers whether they know it or not, and a good dose of sunlight honestly fixes me right up. 4 thumbs up, im including the toes here.
