Happy Living - It may be just out of reach!

 

Hey Folks! Here we are in March, and I feel confident saying we’re all probably on the same page with hoping warmer weather comes our way soon! Anyways, March is National Nutrition Month, and this got me thinking. Keeping good nutrition is a key part of living a healthy lifestyle, along with of course proper exercise. However, an often overlooked and highly important factor is one’s mental healthiness. Your personal happiness may be having more of an effect that you realize.
 
Firstly, it is important to note that successfully living a healthy lifestyle, is dependant on the above mentioned three variables of: Good Nutrition, proper exercise, and happiness. These are all reliant on each other, as without one, the others will suffer. Having a good diet will aid your exercise efforts with results, and your mental well being will be rewarded with clarity, an elevated mood and in turn provide you with a “feel good” feeling. More importantly, as this cycle comes around, one will have gained the motivation too keep living this lifestyle, which eventually will become habit.
 
Your personal happiness is entirely dependant on you, and yourself alone. This is not to say that finding, and achieving your personal happiness is an easy feat. We come from all walks of life, yet no matter who you are, how famous and wealthy you may or may not be, one thing is certain, and that is that NOBODY is immune to the trials and tribulations of life.
 
I prefer to always keep it simple, so lets start with the basics, how can you start improving your happiness right now, regardless of what is happening in your life? First and foremost you must think positive. Happy living is the reward of thinking positively, and without doing so, living happy will be unobtainable. Simply put, if you expect a negative outcome from a situation, you will get what you asked for, negativity. Find the positive in a situation, no matter how grim it may seem. Then, seek to find the positives in yourself. Be happy to be you! Mastering this method of thinking will help you to look at everything from a positive angle, and will do wonders for your happiness in your day to day life.
 
Having a bad day? About to flip out on the next person that aggravates you in the slightest? Please, do try to rationalize and take a breather. You’ve heard it since you were a child and I’ll say it again: “turn that frown upside down”! That’s right folks, sometimes you just have to buck up and slap a smile on your face, regardless of the circumstances. It is a scientific fact that simply having a smile on your face increases your happiness, and on a bad day, it’ll make all the difference.
 
Lastly, find your strengths and core values, and play to them each and everyday. When you begin to incorporate these into your everyday life, the outcome is always going to be positive in one way or another. Even if the desired outcome wasn’t what you wanted, its up to you to find the positive. Can you do it? If yes, then the situation was still a valuable experience.

I couldn't have put it better myself. Negativity just begets negativity. If you sit around being negative then nothing will ever get done.
