  • Eat more fruit. Be creative - add it to your cereal, your salads or even your dinners.
  • Switch to a lighter salad dressing and you'll automatically eat less calories.
  • Make some substitutes. Look through your pantry or fridge and pick 3 foods you eat often. Write down the nutritional content and, the next time you're at the store, find lower-calorie substitutes for just those 3 items.

Could your chair be your worst enemy?

Can having a desk job be shortening your life? Unfortunately, yes, according to a new research study released at the beginning of this month. We’re half way through January, and quickly progressing into the New Year! Are you sticking with your New Years resolution? I’ve especially noticed this week the number of people attending my local Gym steadily declining. Good for me to grab a machine easier, and bad for them because they couldn’t stick with the resolution! Such a shame to waste good money on those New Year’s gym membership deals as well.

However, an often overlooked and highly important factor is one’s mental healthiness. Your personal happiness may be having more of an effect that you realize.

It happens to all of us, and for many of us, far more than we would like. The dreaded night of tossing and turning, consistent pillow fluffing, and hours of staring at the ceiling. You know that you’re going to go through work or school the next day feeling like an absolute Zombie, but you may be thinking: “What can I really do about it”?

Its that Common Cold!

You feel it as soon as you wake up in the morning. Your nose is clogged, possibly dripping, and you realize you’ve been breathing through your mouth for most of the night while this lovely situation set on while you were fast asleep. Sort of gross, I know, yet we’ve all been there, many of us multiple times a year. It’s that delicious Common Cold, and its here yet again to make your next few days quite miserable.
